Jayne Mansfield - The Girl Can't Help It
Made from a wonderfully stretchy techno knit navy fabric. The dress features a deep plunge sweetheart neckline on a darted bodice, long sleeves and finished with a pale pink rose. The skirt part of the dress fits close to the body and sits just below the knee with a front kick pleat and come with a matching belt with slider buckle. The dress doesn’t have a zip, you just pull it on like a jumper. Such a comfortable dress that can be worn for so many occasions.
About the dress…
The original dress was worn by Jayne Mansfield in the film The Girl Can’t Help It in 1956. The dress was worn with a wide brim cartwheel hat, black clutch bag, black babydoll heels and a fox fur. Absolutely amazing outfit and has to be one of my all time favourites.
This fabric is lovely and light to wear. It is a cross between a double knit and crepe. It has the weight and stretch of a double knit or techno, and the beautiful texture of a crepe! 90% Polyester; 10% Lycra. Machine wash 40c, air dry, no need to iron
